ITINERARY
DAY 1. SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA
Welcome to San José, Costa Rica.
Reception at Juan Santamaría airport and transfer to the hotel in San José. The capital of San José is located in the middle of the Central Valley and in the center of the country, considered as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America. The city is located in a strategic point close to the main tourist attractions such as: historical buildings, museums, theatres, handicraft markets, beautiful parks, shopping centers and offers a varied gastronomic offer.

DAY 2. SAN JOSÉ – TORTUGUERO
Departure in the morning where you will cross the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is the most extensive in the central region, until you reach the area of Guápiles where you can enjoy a delicious typical breakfast. On the way, you will pass through banana plantations until you reach the shipowner where you will approach your boat. From here you will continue the boat trip crossing rivers and canals for about an hour and a half until you arrive at the hotel for lunch time. In the afternoon, guided tour of the picturesque village of Tortuguero. Dinner included in the lodge.

DAY 3. TORTUGUERO
Breakfast at the lodge.
Guided walk in the morning on the private trails of the lodge. Free time to enjoy the facilities before lunch. In the afternoon, boat trip through the canals of the National Park of Tortuguero. The Tortuguero National Park is one of the wildest areas of biological diversity, famous for being the habitat of seven species of turtles, surrounded by tropical forests and lush flora. We also recommend the night tour of turtle snorkeling. Dinner included.

DAY 4. TORTUGUERO – MUELLE DE SAN CARLOS
Breakfast at the lodge.
Departure in the morning by the canals to take the land transport, after landing on the bridge where again a stop will be made in the area of Guápiles to have lunch. Then transfer to the Plains of the North, until you reach Muelle de San Carlos where a beautiful hotel surrounded by nature in a Rainforest a few minutes from the Volcano will allow you to rest in the tranquility of the place. Thro the tour, you will enjoy agricultural plantations, ornamental plants and livestock farms.

DAY 5. ARENAL VOLCAN
Breakfast at the hotel.
This morning you will be transferred to the Mirador Park Arenal 1968. Once in the place you will be able to explore the different paths that hide in your journey an enormous wealth of flora and fauna. In addition, you will be able to see and follow the old slopes of 1968 that will take you to the nearest viewpoint and with a little luck you will have before you the imposing and majestic volcano Arenal. At the agreed time you will be transferred to the thermal waters, an escape to the natural paradise where you can enjoy different hot water pools and a delicious dinner. You will then be transferred to the hotel.

DAY 6. MOELLE DE SAN CARLOS
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free day to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. This day you can perform adventure activities, relaxation, hiking, rafting, use of the tennis courts, enjoy the gastronomy of the place.

DAY 7. MOULE OF SAN CARLOS – GUANACASTE
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the Guanacaste region. This province has earned a name for itself as a tropical paradise with a virgin coastline, beautiful mountains and a number of majestic volcanoes. Since Guanacaste covers the northwestern corner of Costa Rica, it should be no surprise that this lively province is home to some of Costa Ricas most beautiful beaches. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach and tour his village.

Day 8, 9, 10. GUANACASTE
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel, visit beautiful places in the area. Coordinate your sea kayak tour with the hotel reception.
You can also perform different activities, both nature and cultural; you will enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the coast and discover the variety of native flora and fauna of the region of Guanacaste. You will find the stunning trees of Guanacaste and a variety of monkeys, peaches, crabs and birds and in a private estate.

DAY 11. GUANACAST – SAN JOSÉ
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure transfer to Juan Santamaría Airport in San José. If your flight leaves before 16:00 and your transportation is regular shared, you will require a private transfer for an additional fee.

What to bring?
- Passport with no less than 6 months validity.
- Travel alarm. (algunos hoteles los tienen, otros no, por lo que es bueno tenerlo a mano)
- Sun protection and insect repellent.
- T-shirts: cotton or light synthetic, long sleeve and short sleeve.
- Pants: cotton or light synthetic pants. Bring at least 2 sets of clothes that dry quickly. (no se recomiendan jeans; demasiado lento para secar)
- Shoes: waterproof and lightweight hiking boots, river sandals (Teva type sandals), tennis.
- Running shoes/sleevers. If you do not wear mountain boots, be sure to wear DOS pairs of tennis boots. As soon as you grind a pair, use it when it is likely to grind your feet. Make every effort to keep the other pair dry!
- If you travel to Tortuguero during the turtle nesting season (June-September), bring dark trousers and shirts and closed shoes.
- Socks: bring additional pairs in case your feet get wet.
- Rain clothing: poncho, waterproof and umbrellas.
- Hat(s) with visor for protection from rain and sun.
- Reusable water bottle for walks.
- In addition, additional batteries / mobile device charger and a lot of memory.
- Plastic bags with cremallera closure for spillable toiletries and plastic garbage bags for wet items.
- Prescription glasses and additional medicines (si corresponde).
- Small backpack or kidney backpack for walks.
- Folding luggage for storing additional items in San José.
