DAY 3.
Private Transfer from Bajos del Toro to Arenal
Transfer to La Fortuna, home of the impressive Arenal Volcano, one of the country’s natural wonders due to its majesty. Although lava eruptions no longer occur, smoke and ash can still be seen rising from the crater. The Arenal region is an exquisite destination for its landscapes, hot springs, and Arenal Lake. Arenal Volcano Hike – 1968 Trail
This tour will simply amaze you. It begins with a short boat ride from Arenal Lake’s dam to “La Península” entrance. The trail leads through the park’s barely opened paths, offering incredible views of Arenal Lake and fantastic park viewpoints. This route is ideal for birdwatching and nature photography. You will also visit areas once destroyed by volcanic activity that are now regenerating. The “Coladas” trail allows you to walk over former lava flows. Nature, geology, and volcano history—all guided by our professional naturalist guides.

Tenorio Volcano National Park & Rio Celeste
From the depths of Tenorio Volcano, mysterious fumaroles transform the confluence of the Buena Vista and Roble rivers into a blue current, giving life to one of nature’s most extraordinary phenomena: “Rio Celeste.” Inside the river you’ll find hot springs, calm turquoise pools, and a uniquely beautiful waterfall. Upon arrival at Tenorio Volcano National Park, you’ll begin a 5.5 km (2.5–3 hour) hike through the rainforest. The first stop is the Rio Celeste waterfall, known for its stunning color. Continuing along the trails, you’ll see lush vegetation and wildlife until reaching Los Teñideros, where two crystalline rivers merge and turn sky-blue. After the hike, enjoy a delicious typical lunch.

ATV Tours
For your ATV adventure, you may choose between two destinations:
Mala Noche Waterfall or San Juanillo Beach.
Mala Noche ATV Tour: Drive your ATV from Guiones Beach through the town of Nosara to a beautiful property with lush gardens. Walk along the river for about 30 minutes, learning about local flora and fauna. At the waterfall, refresh yourself in the fresh water, swim, and relax.
San Juanillo Beach: A beautiful bay in a small fishing village. Enjoy driving along dirt paths and river crossings while viewing farms, cows, and ocean scenery. Once in San Juanillo, you may snorkel, swim, or relax with fresh coconut water.
