ITINERARY
Day 1 ARRIVAL IN MEXICO CITY - Arrival at Mexico City International Airport, reception and welcome by NILTZE MEXICO TRAVEL staff. During the transfer to the Hotel the guide will give indications about the tours. Check-in at the hotel (rooms will be delivered from 3:00 pm). Lodging (this day it is not possible to include breakfast or lunch).
Day 2 AFRICAM SAFARI (operates Monday and Thursday) - After breakfast we will visit one of the largest wildlife conservation parks in America, founded in 1972 and located in the state of Puebla, where we can find a great variety of animals of different species and regions of the world, including lemurs, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, llamas, kangaroos, ostriches and many other species. One of the main characteristics is that we will be able to see the different animals living together in freedom. Meals at the passenger's expense.
Day 3 BASILICA - TEOTIHUACAN - MEXICO - After breakfast we will go to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas and see the old market of Tlatelolco, continue to the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Sanctuary of the Patroness of the Mexicans, where we can admire the genuine mantle of Juan Diego with the Virgin, time to hear mass guaranteed. We will continue the tour to the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, where we will visit the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, as well as other ruins of equal importance, plus a brief explanation on the production of pulque “El Licor Blanco” (traditional drink of pre-Hispanic Mexico) and obsidian handicrafts. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 5 XOCHIMILCO AND COYOACAN WITH FRIDA KAHLO (operates Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) - After breakfast we will start our tour to the south of Mexico City, visiting the ancient canals of Xochimilco, cultural heritage of humanity, where we will embark a typical trajinera (boat) decorated with bright colors, we will appreciate the chinampas (islets with crops of flowers and vegetables) and the most typical Mexican tradition. We will pass by the University City (UNAM) to admire the murals of Juan O'Gorman, the Olympic Stadium Mexico 68, the National Library and the Rectory building. We will continue our tour through the Magic Neighborhood of Coyoacan where we will walk through its cobblestone streets appreciating the architecture of its colonial style houses, we will visit the Plaza and Hidalgo Garden, the Plaza de la Conchita, the church of San Juan Bautista and enter the museum of Frida Kahlo “La Caza Azul” where we will see her way of life with her family and learn about her history with Diego Rivera as well as renowned artists and politicians both Mexican and international; to finish our tour we will have the opportunity to see various local handicrafts, as well as visit the Coyoacan market, where we will be free to enjoy the local gastronomy (food not included).
Day 4 MORNING FREE MORNING IN CDMX - IN THE EVENING PLAZA GARIBALDI WITH MEXICAN SHOW - After breakfast we will enjoy the rest of the day at leisure for personal activities or optional tours. In the evening we will go to Garibaldi Square, formerly known as Santa Cecilia Square; a place where mariachis and various musical groups gather to delight us with their melodies, serenades and songs that will touch your soul. We will attend a Mexican party where we will enjoy a Mariachi show, Mexican music singers, “suertes charras”, typical dances and music to dance to. Includes a drink or beverage.
Day 6 MEXICO CITY AIRPORT - After breakfast included at the scheduled time transfer to the airport to take your flight back home (independent of the time of transfer to the airport, the room must be vacated by 12:00 noon at the latest, that is half a day). END OF OUR SERVICES (This day it is not possible to include lunch or dinner).
